GM100 (Golden Mile 100) is a bold, centenary programme marking the 100th anniversary of the Great West Road in Hounslow, celebrating the Golden Mile’s past, present, and future through a dynamic mix of exhibitions, public art, storytelling, and community collaboration.
I was asked to craft a website to help market and promote the on-going efforts of GM100.
Website Design + Build
I was responsible for designing and building the GM100 website, creating a visually engaging, easy-to-navigate platform that showcases the project’s events, stories, and community initiatives.
The site has been built in such a way that the GM100 team can quickly and easily add new (and change existing) entries for all sections. As a reference tool, I also provided a narrated tutorial video showing how all aspects of the site can be edited.
Events
The website features a clear, filterable events feed that allows visitors to easily browse upcoming exhibitions, activities, and community happenings linked to the GM100 programme.
Custom Map
The site’s interactive map page includes an embedded Google Map with custom location icons and a dynamic feed, helping users explore key GM100 sites, installations, and events across the Golden Mile.
Food & Drink
The Food & Drink section highlights a curated selection of local cafés, restaurants, and bars along the Golden Mile, encouraging visitors to explore and support nearby businesses during GM100 events.
