How does it work?

Establish a brief
Firstly, we’ll begin with a quick call so that you can tell me more about what your website aims to promote. From there we can discuss the design and content in detail including fonts, colours, images, copy, number of pages required, and of course the template you wish to use as a starting point.
We’ll also establish which if you require any of the optional extras that might be required such as extra pages, a blog or logo design.
2.
A clear, itemised quote
Following our initial discussion I will put together an itemised quote that explains exactly what you’re paying for and how long the site will take to complete.
3.
Setup + population
Once you’ve approved the quote and sent across any necessary items such as images and text, I will setup the site and begin population.
4.
Review + go live
After the site has been built, I’ll invite you to test it and ensure you’re happy with the end result – making any changes before the project is officially signed off.

FAQs
Who maintains the website content once it has been built?
That’s completely up to you; all of my websites are build with an easy-to-use content management system, so that changes can be made by you or your team. Alternatively (or for more complex updates), I’m on-hand to offer assistance with website maintenance – without a monthly retainer.
How much can the templates be customised?
Colours, links, images and fonts can all be changed with no issue. The order of sections can also be altered with ease. I’m happy to accomodate further minor changes – let’s discuss your requirements.
I need more pages than your templates show
Not a problem. Providing they follow a similar layout to the other pages shown, additional pages can be added for a fixed price (per page).
Do you offer website hosting?
Yes. I offer premium website hosting with excellent support that can be charged on a monthly or annual basis at a competitive rate when compared with all of the major providers. My website hosting provides all of the necessary tools to help your business or organisation succeed online, including daily backups, fast loading times, flexible storage and more. If you already have or would prefer to host the website on your own package, that’s also not an issue.
What is your payment structure?
You don’t pay me until the website is signed off and live. Invoices are to be paid within 14 working days. I’m happy to consider more flexible payment structures ahead of beginning a new project, such as paying monthly over an agreed period.
Do you make changes and additions to existing websites?
Sure. I have taken over the maintenance of websites and helped various clients with updates and new additions to existing sites on a number of occasions, using a number of different website editors and platforms.
Can you build an online store for me?
Yes, however I don’t offer this as part of my Start Websites service due to the complexity of online stores. If this is something you’d like to discuss then please get in touch and I will do my best to work within your budget.
I don't have any brand materials... Can you help with that?
Absolutely. I’ve had the pleasure of creating a number of visual brand identities over the years and would be more than happy to assist in developing a brand that is both eye-catching and consistent across various platforms.
Will my site appear at the top of page 1 on Google?
Search engine rankings are based on a number of factors; from the way your website is built and the content it displays, to the saturation of the industry within which you operate and how savvy your competitors are when it comes to SEO (search engine optimisation). Each website is different, so get in touch and let’s have a conversation about how we can best increase your website’s visibility when it comes to search engines.
My project is sensitive, are you willing to sign an NDA?
I have worked on various website (and other) projects under non-disclosure agreements in the past. Your secrets are safe with me!
I already have a website... Can this remain live while you build a new one?
Yes, this is no problem. I can build a site away from your existing one to avoid any disruption to service. Once the new site is ready to launch we can simply point it towards your existing domain name(s) and close down the old one.
Why don't I just use AI?
While providers of AI website building platforms will advertise a quick and easy setup to get you online, unfortunately the technology isn’t up to the task right now. I’ve personally experimented with several platforms, and the results are never up-to-scratch, leaving you to fix lots of errors and inconsistencies that you may struggle to spot at first glance. Put simply: humans build the best websites.
